Material Guides

Grade 5 Titanium

Grade 5 Titanium is an alloyed Titanium. It is alloyed with 6% Aluminium 4% Vanadium and is commonly known as Ti 6Al-4V. It is a fantastic material that is highly desirable for extremely demanding applications. Ti 6Al-4V offers high strength at a light weight, useful formability, high corrosion resistance and a greater resistance to scratching.

316 Stainless Steel

Grade 316 steel is second only to 304 in commercial importance. 316 stainless steel contains an addition of molybdenum that gives it improved corrosion resistance. 316 stainless steel has excellent workability and holds better strength at higher temperatures than 304 grade.

Damascus Steel (Coming Soon)

Damascus pattered steel is a combination of more that one type of steel, forged together to create a desired pattern. The Damascus steel we use has a combination 304L and 316L. Because of its corrosion resistance and strengh, it is a great material for making jewellery.

Carbon Fibre

Carbon Fibre is a material consisting of fibres around 5-10μm in diameter and composed mainly of carbon atoms. It offers excellent lightness and strength greater than regular steel and aluminium.
